Our proposal is for up to 500 high-quality, individually designed new homes, including 150 affordable homes and a site for a new primary school. These would help to meet Charnwood Borough Council’s housing needs and deliver a new neighbourhood for Anstey in a sustainable location.
The draft masterplan includes:
A wide variety of house-types, including 2, 3, 4 and 5-bedroom homes
Vehicle access via Bradgate Road
A site for a new single form entry primary school for the local area with the potential to expand in the future
Safe and improved pedestrian and cycle links with the surrounding area
Enhanced and retained hedgerows, tree planting and landscaping which would help to protect and improve the variety of wildlife and plants on site
Public open space and children's play areas
Sustainable Urban Drainage systems
We intend to submit two planning applications covering different parts of the site. One will be a detailed application for land at Manor Farm and
Rectory Field, totalling 150 homes. The other application will overlap with the Manor Farm and Rectory Field application but will also include
land at High Leys to provide for an additional 350 homes and a site for a new primary school and playing fields.
